how bad is frozen food?

HOW BAD IS FROZEN FOOD?

In Eric Schlosser’s article called “behind the counter” one of the problems with Mc Donald’s fast

food restaurant is that the food they give is frozen food. That means the food is unhealthy. Besides that

there are twenty one Mc Donald’s just in Colorado springs according to article and these restaurants, no

matter their food is healthy or unhealthy, try to get more customers by looking more attractive and

pretending like their food is the best. That problem looks as a small detail in the article, but in fact it is

the most important one. In deed, Mc Donald’s is certainly not healthy, but we eat it a lot because it

appeals to us and it is almost everywhere we go.

While Mr.Schlosser describes in his article Elisa’s work in Mc Donald’s he releases the fact that the

food she was preparing was frozen ; “they step into the big freezer and get the frozen bacon, the

frozen pancakes, and the frozen cinnamon rolls. They get the frozen hash browns, the frozen biscuits,

the frozen Mcmuffin.” So, from that statement we all should understand that the food you eat in Mc

Donald’s is not a real food ,it is unnatural, fatty and full of chemicals; that means you don’t get any

proteins and enough nutrition from it. The only thing you get from this kind of food is illness. That’s

basically it!. Besides that Mr.Schlosser emphasizes the attraction of Mc Donald’s to people by saying

that “they build large signs to attract motorists and look at cars the way predators view herds of prey”.

So, Mc Donald’s doesn’t really care about your health ,they just want to sell you the food and they do

anything to get your attention and make you buy their food.

When I was a kid, whenever I ate McDonald’s ,I always felt my stomach so full, but two hours later

I became very hungry again. I used to wonder why was that ? Then My sister told me that it was all fat,

not food that i was eating; it doesn’t count as a food, it just waste of money. Then i never ate Mc

Donald’s, unless I really have to. One of my friends used to laugh at me because I never ate Mc Donald’s

as much as he ate. He used to drink coke every single day and eat hamburger three times a week. He

used to defend himself by saying “ if Americans eat it all the time then it can’t be unhealthy” He didn’t

know that Americans, also, were having trouble because of eating fast food too much. Now, he lives in

Texas and he gets sick very often, and I don’t. That must explain something!

A solution to this problem is learning to eat fresh food and vegetables. Even though fresh

vegetable commercials are not on TV all the time as much as fast food commercials or even if you

haven’t seen a real potato or broccoli in your life, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat them; you have to

eat them to be a healthy person and be able to live longer. Not everything you see all the time is right,

you have to read a lot and be curious about everything to find out the best for you. If I had unlimited

connections, I would make a program on TV to introduce healthy food to people.
